Graduate Students - Currently accepting PhD rotation students for 2nd and 3rd rotations (2019-2020).
We accept Ph.D. students via the Program in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (PBSE). The Microbial Biology and Pathogenesis (MICRO) track is recommended, and students in this track will be given priority if rotation space is limited. We also accept students from the Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology (MCD) track.
We accept M.S. candidates through the METX Department on a case by case basis. Typically, candidates are already working in the lab or department Students can enroll in the research MS directly, or be UCSC undergraduates who are part of the 5th year M.S. program in which the MS research and classes are started in the student's senior year. Undergraduate Researchers - Not currently accepting undergraduate students (updated Dec. 2019)
We take talented undergraduate researchers to carry out independent study as space allows. Students must be able to commit 15 hours/week for at least 4 quarters.
