Santiago is a recent Microbiology, B.S. graduate from UCSC. His undergraduate research as a MARC scholar in the Auerbuch Stone lab involved investigating the regulation of type III secretion system expression in the human pathogen Yersinia pseudotuberculosis. Now that he has completed his undergraduate studies, Santiago plans to pursue a PhD in the future. In his free time, he enjoys playing his guitar, cooking yummy food, and exploring Santa Cruz on his bike!
